"鉄骨の試験塔で、フェアリングのつなぎ目を止める５００本以上の金属ボルトを起爆剤で瞬時に切断。内部に納めた衛星模型にぶつかることなく左右に分離、落下した。実際に打ち上げるフェアリングはすでに種子島宇宙センターに出荷済み。
ＪＡＸＡは今回を含め２０１５年までに、計７機のＨ２Ｂロケットの打ち上げを計画している。"

宇宙航空研究開発機構（ＪＡＸＡ）と川崎重工業は12日、兵庫県播磨町の川重播磨工場で、開発中の新大型ロケット「Ｈ２Ｂ」の先端にある衛星格納部（フェアリング）の分離放てき試験に成功した。強度試験で分離機構のボルト破損などが起こり、開発予定が数カ月遅れていた。（日経ネット）
