ESA: Oct. 17 launch date for MetOp : ScienceDaily

The Paris-based space agency said the satellite will be launched Tuesday, Oct. 17, aboard a Soyuz rocket at 12:28 p.m. EDT (16:28 UTC) from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.
"The ESA said Oct. 17 was confirmed as the new launch date Thursday by the European Organization for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites, the project manager."

Nasa uncovers 'black hole musical'
"These eruptions generate changes in pressure which manifested themselves in sound and occur about once every six million years. The sound waves are incredibly deep, at roughly 56 octaves below middle C.
Shockwaves detected in M87 are thought to have occurred 20 million years ago and 50 million years ago. The interval between these waves produced even deeper sounds of 58 or 59 octaves below middle C."
